America needs to take a deep breath and calm down. This post election mania needs to end.

The hysteria we're witnessing in America with comedians who aren't funny anymore and make obscene gestures holding up a mock severed bloody head of the president, and other so-called comedians who use profane language on TV in piques of political anger; famous singers who threaten to blow up the White House because their candidate lost - as well as famous TV personalities and movie stars threatening violence for the same reason; and unhinged citizens shooting at politicians and schools - this needs to come to an end.

9/11 terrorism seems to have started a period of one shock after another in America and the world and the terrorists succeeded in creating a level of emotional instability in societies across the globe.

In America we have experienced additional shocks with students being shot and very recently a mentally disturbed young man building bombs who killed innocents and terrorized a town. As a country we are hurt and we grieve for our victims and pray for their families. With all the instability this is a time when every responsible head of every house hold in America needs to reassure their own families and comfort them that we are safe and doing fine. The emotional toll that comes from terror combined with the redhot political atmosphere in this country has brought us to a boiling point that is causing much unrest. We are witnessing what happens when hysteria takes over and the adults don't use their calming influence to give reassurance to their families or those close to them.

I could elaborate on politics but I won't except to say this. When Barack Obama was president, conservatives were nervous - but - conservatives didn't act out in the outrageous manner that we're seeing liberals act out now that Trump is president. I'm a Republican and conservative so obviously I'm pleased Obama is no longer president and happy that Trump won the White House. But - I learned an important lesson in these words of wisdom from my adult son that greatly helped my peace of mind. He said, "No matter who is president America's economy is a massive machine that runs and can't be stopped no matter who is president. No administration has the power to stop the wheels of progress moving the American economy. It rolls on no matter what administration is in charge." That statement is true and the presidency of Obama proved it. For conservatives who were nervous that America was going to end - the machine rolled on as it was designed to do and our fears did not materialize. My son's words gave me comfort so I'm repeating them here in the hopes that if any liberal reads this they'll understand that all is well in our country and we need to relax and get on with our lives. The same way that Obama's presidency didn't rock conservatives world and America didn't sink into the ocean, the same applies to liberals. Trump isn't going to rock your world and your home will assuredly be there when you wake up every morning. Our country is too big and our economy too strong for any presidential administration to stop it. We have governmental checks and balances for a reason as designed by our country's founders for the purpose of assuring our republic goes on from one generation to the next.

Let us all stop and consider that things are going very well in America, and we have much to be thankful for. Our standard of living is high and many in the world would gladly trade places with any one of us. We live longer than our ancestors did because the miracles of modern medicine have saved and extended our lives. The quality of life in America is good and we need to reflect on that and find our peaceful center. If you woke up in a bed this morning with a roof over your head in a home with electricity and running water and had the privilege of getting into a car and driving to your employment - you should know that billions of people in the world would give anything to have what you have.

If you are an adult guilty of acting irrationally over politics you need to pull yourself together and realize you are affecting the well being of others around you. Think of the young minds and their need for your reassurance, not your hysterics making them afraid or nervous. If you are a public figure, TV or movie star and you have acted irrationally over politics you need to grow up emotionally and understand the viewing public do not give a rats behind about your political views. It is a bad idea to express hatred toward our president no matter who you are. You made your millions that afforded you a magnificent lifestyle off people whose political views you hate so stop for one moment and think about that. I hold a professional license and I'm not about to run off half of my customer base by mouthing off political views that I know statistically half of them will not agree with and whom may decide to take their business somewhere else since I'm too stupid not to insult them. You should feel the same way about your employment and remember who is paying your salaries whether it's $20K or $520K.
