Feeling Especially Thankful This Thanksgiving

This year I have a great sense of peace in my soul and I thank President Trump for that. Ever since 9/11 as an American I have been on high alert with concern for our country. After we were attacked by Islamic Extremists on that day I felt that President George W Bush was the right leader to fight back, but seventeen years later I’m not so sure. He was strong, moral and good but he let the liberal hateful press walk all over and weakened him and he never responded or recovered from it. He also made some questionable decisions that we are still paying for today as a country. Hindsight is always 20/20 as they say so there really is no point in re-litigating George W. Bush’s presidency.

However, it should be said that the Islamic world was set on fire after we invaded Iraq and all kinds of Islamic extremists got a foothold that they didn’t have when Saddam Hussein was in charge of Iraq and Minyar Gaddafi in control of Libya. Everything seemed to fall apart when those two strongmen dictators were taken down and Islamic extremism grew and spread. It’s never a good idea to go barreling in with an army with no plan after winning. The other problem is the next president may totally flub it up and make things worse.

Enter Barack Hussein Obama. I’m not going to list the multitude of ways Obama was a bad president. As of this writing two years into President Donald J Trump’s presidency investigations are still underway into the crime cabal Obama turned out to be as president. Volumes will be written on the subject of his two terms in the Oval Office and mainly about the rather amazing fact that Obama along with many top level government officials holding the highest levels of security clearances turned into criminals for one Hillary Rodham Clinton. They protected her, lied for her, risked their careers and income for her. They lost their reputations covering for her and destroyed the country’s faith in our government bureaucracy because of it. It's so shameful that the government is desperately trying to cover it up and hope Trump can be convinced not to expose them, or somehow get him out of office so they can keep the secrets hidden.

So, after eight years of President Bush’s push to war in the Middle East at great cost of American lives and money, and after another eight years of the very strange President Obama who appears not only to have run a criminal cabal from the White House on behalf of Hillary Clinton, he also appears to have funded and armed the very people we were fighting. A very bizarre situation that is still under investigation and the truth may never be known. The fact is now that Trump is president of the United States he knows all about what happened because he has full access to the facts and yet he hasn’t ordered the truth be revealed to the public - yet. He did order declassification of some documents exposing abuse from the FBI and DOJ but for some reason he is holding back on releasing them to the public. I believe the countries of England and Australia have begged him not to declassify or release certain bad actions involving Obama because their countries were involved and exposing it would greatly damage them. So I guess we’ll see or maybe we won’t.

With all that said one would wonder why this author is feeling especially thankful this Thanksgiving which is today, Thursday November 20, 2018.

In my personal life I have countless blessings for which I am grateful to God. But the reason for this article is because for the first time in seventeen years thanks to President Donald J Trump I feel safe and relaxed. I feel protected and defended. Finally at long last America has a president who is all about prosperity for Americans taking the yoke of high taxes off of us, a president who loves the country and wants to protect our borders and control the influx of illegals living here. A president not interested in going to war but instead wants to make peace with our enemies.

President Trump calls Islamic extremism what it is and in very short order after being elected he told our military leaders to kill the extremists and put an end to it, and so they did. Now at long last all is relatively quiet in the Middle East. I’m sure the simmering hatred of Islam toward all who do not submit to their religion wishes they could attack the West again but with President Trump in charge they are afraid to try. Thank you God and thank you President Trump.

This president would rather do business with the civilized world and forget about war. I love this man and I’m not the only one. All across America he is a phenomenon of patriotism and hope, national pride and optimism. Never has anything like it been seen with many, many thousands of people coming to see and hear him where ever he speaks.

The picture isn’t all rosy, the Left in America actually wanted the very criminal who brought down Obama’s legacy, Hillary Clinton to be our president. Election night was very tense, all the polls had her with a 98% chance of winning the presidency. Hillary supporters thought they had it in the bag and all the corruption would be covered up and we citizens weren’t to ever know about it. However, Christians all across America and the world were praying for a miracle that Trump would defeat her against all the odds. We prayed for Divine Intervention and it was granted. Trump won the election saving us from the horrible fate that liberalism wanted to inflict upon us.

We have some serious problems and struggles yet to face in this country. The Left have proven to be powerful and corrupt. Over half of America actually votes for the end of America as we know it. They want no borders, no citizenship and to abolish our immigration and customs control. They want higher and higher taxes so everything is “free”. Free college, free health care for all, free whatever - which of course is never free, someone pays - and they want the land once called America to come under the control of the United Nations and become a globalist society of socialists. Much was at stake when Trump miraculously won the election in 2016 and put a stop to a very scary fate for this country in the eyes of traditional Americans.

Those of us who would never have voted for Hillary Clinton under any circumstances are reeling with relief that she lost. The Left seem insane to those of us on the Right and the scary part is there are many millions of them. They personify corruption, they proudly cheat, lie and steal elections if they can’t win them, they are everything they accuse others of being and they think anything and everything they do is acceptable if it means they win. They never thought Trump had a chance to beat Hillary and when he did they declared war on him and his supporters.

At this point, border and immigration control is finally getting underway thanks to President Trump. That issue has been a bone of contention for conservative voters for decades. We thought George W Bush would seal the border after 9/11 but he let his voters down and left the country vulnerable for which I’ve personally been extremely nervous about ever since 9/11. That was the time to address the border and illegal unknowns pouring into our country, not seventeen years later when all of conservative America is downright angry that nothing is being done about it.

The next big issue we now face is voter fraud. We have to get our voting system brought into the 21st century and it needs to be electronic and uniform throughout the country. We can’t let illegals who are voting steal our elections so we need to purge all voting rolls and start over. Americans need to re-register to vote and they need to provide proof of birth or of citizenship and be given a voter ID card that can not be fraudulently duplicated. The fact is that there are probably 20+ million illegal people living in America today and many if not most of them are voting. The Left want illegals voting because they think illegals want free stuff and so they vote for Leftist candidates. That is election fraud and is the biggest problem in America today in my view.

I especially enjoyed the Thanksgiving festivities with my family this year. We held hands and prayed and gave thanks to God Almighty for our food. We continued to hold hands and each one of us stated what we were thankful for. For the first time in many years I felt that America as a whole could relax and enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with our families and friends. It was relaxing and felt normal again like it used to before 9/11.

For the last seventeen years I have watched the news daily, fearfully following the headlines, worrying over politics and the direction our country was going. But lately I've been turning off the news not so concerned with it anymore. I'm watching more pleasant shows or doing other things. I've become uninterested in social media with the repeated news headlines of the same ole political topics day in and day out. I'm no longer worried about any of it because I have every faith our president will address and resolve the problems. It's wonderful to feel normal again.

Our country has waited a long time to feel safe again, and for that I say thank you President Trump, with all my heart I thank you.
