Dear Oscar

I didn't attend your party this year. Well, actually I've never attended your party but I used to watch it on TV. There was something so special about seeing movie stars in their beautiful sequined sparkling and flowing gowns - and the men in tuxedos looking so handsome. I loved the magnificent auditorium and grand stage with drapery, color, imagery and everything a person would imagine the greatest show in Hollywood would look like. I wondered who will win Best Actor - Actress - Movie. I'd stay up late and watch the whole four hours waiting for the big news. It was exciting to see the cameras pan across the sea of famous faces. Oh, to live that amazing life Americans would dream - in one of those magnificent homes - driving one of those expensive cars. At least we get to see the glitz and glamour at the award show of all awards shows - The Oscars.

I'll just tell you the truth Oscar, I've fallen out of love with you. I "woke" to discover I don't like or respect you anymore.

Your movie stars and actors go on Talk Shows and say they hate guns - but they make movies and video games glorifying gun violence and promote it to young people. Not just violence but extreme violence - shocking, bloody extreme violence. I've never watched many of those particular movies because they are too violent for my taste and were much too violent for my children when they were young - so those movies were never in my home.....but I admit I worried about other people's children who would see them. But you didn't worry about them did you. No you didn't but now you "hate guns".

I own a gun as do many millions of other Americans, but I wouldn't dream of it being used in the ways you portray in your violent movies and video games. I'm just one - but I'm one of many millions who are just like I am.

Your movie stars and actors go on Talk Shows and laugh and show support for a known rapist Bill Clinton, but yet you say #MeToo claiming you care about the new movement recognizing victims of sexual assault. Your movie stars and actors also supported Bill Clinton's enabler wife Hillary to be president of the United States in the last election. I have to say that was a real mystery. You laugh and joined in when Hillary called ordinary Americans of the heartland "Deplorable" but we think you and Hillary are pretty deplorable yourselves along with being hypocritical.

Your movie stars and actors go on Talk Shows and criticize Christians but show blind support for Islam. Christianity is a religion of love, forgiveness and redemption which is why you feel free to criticize. You know Christians will just love and forgive you. You know that Christians won't slit your throat and declare jihad on you.

But Islam will slit your throat and declare jihad on you so you buy into their disguised name of 'religion of peace' - an obvious lie. You know that Islam is a religion of subjugation of women, female genital mutilation, death to gay people, rape of children and so many more disturbing practices - but you promote that lie because you hate Christianity and enjoy anything that hates Christians.

And now to add insult to injury you show blatant hatred and disrespect for our flag and country, for our military and law enforcement, for our chosen president and I've had enough of you.

You lost me Oscar. I ignored your violent movies because I didn't have them in my home to poison my own children. I've tolerated your blaming law abiding Americans with guns for the environment you created although it made me respect you less. I've rolled my eyes at your blatant hypocrisy on treatment of women. I've turned the other cheek at your insults about my Christian faith but I began to lose interest in your opinions.

Finally I've had enough of your political views on "open borders", "globalism" and "sanctuary cities" , Christianity, gun owners and I'm sick of your condescension and hypocrisy. It is more than I can take and now I'm going to fight back with my choices. I'm choosing not to watch your movies. I don't give a fig what your lapdog mainstream media has to say and I choose not to watch them either. I'm also not watching your awards shows anymore and I'll choose anything else I can do to show you just how much I now detest everything about you.

I thank God for my life and my humble home and my American town and my family and friends. I no longer want to live in your fancy homes or drive your expensive cars or wear your costly gowns - and wouldn't want it for any amount of money in the world. I'd be ashamed to be you.
