Mind Control

Americans are at a crossroads of either maintaining a measure of individuality or being controlled and manipulated into crowd-think.

I’m disappointed in Facebook, Twitter, all other social networking sites, as well as Cable News Broadcasters, and mainstream television networks and I don't think I'm the only one who feels this way. They've morphed from the business of entertainment into the business of trying to control and manipulate their viewers according to the political leanings of those in control at the networks, and more and more of those people are involved as either spouses or relatives of high profile politicians. Since Donald Trump was elected some very cozy relationships between the press and democrat political operatives were exposed. It used to be that advertisers were the only ones trying to manipulate viewers into choosing their product over someone else's and everyone understood that, but now everyone on television and the internet is trying to do that while pretending otherwise.

It started off innocently enough but the morphing into population mind control and influencing is now on full bore.

I’m 64 years old which makes me part of a generation that grew up before computers and the internet - a time now viewed by many as a "more innocent" and "simpler" time in the world. In fact my children all now all in their 30’s were the last generation to grow up playing outside, reading books and coloring instead of staying inside on the internet and social media. I believe they were also the last generation to ride their bikes around the neighborhood, climb trees, play in the yard, in friends yards, in the street, walk to the park or the convenience store and do things unaccompanied that children simply can't do anymore.

The internet changed us all in some good ways - made life much easier in the workplace - and some ways that are detrimental to our mental and physical health - addictive behaviors. My first real experience with computers on a daily basis was at work like most people 30 years ago, but my first foray into social media was in 2009 as a timid peek to see what it's like to converse with strangers online discussing current day topics - and “talking” to people I don’t actually know personally. I learned there are nice people and mean spirited people, just like in normal life. There are people to the Left, Center and Right of politics, and non-political types and really just all types of people are communicating on social websites on the internet.

But there has been a shift in social media and network or cable news to 24 hour politics.

I'm sure there are gardening clubs and book clubs and other groups discussing something other than politics, but I also know that those are now the exception and I would even say few and far between the massive onslaught of political discourse.

When I say we’re at a crossroad of losing individuality to mind control it’s because of what I’m observing now in social media.

Take Facebook for an example.

Have you seen the worried blank stare look on Mark Zuckerberg’s face in photos? The man who is my children's ages created Facebook and is worth billions, is married to his sweetheart and has two children and you'd think he'd be on top of the world but he looks like he’s worried to death, and I doubt its from babies waking him up at night.

What the heck happened to him?

Maybe he did some sneaky underhanded stuff he shouldn’t have done like spying on citizens, stealing and selling names and address of Facebook users, I don’t really know. But what I think he did is create an avenue for people (conservatives like me) to connect and defeat the liberal juggernaut called globalism. We did it by connecting online and discussing openly and in groups that "hell no, we aren’t putting up with open borders, UN patrolling America, disarming or anything else the liberals had in mind for us".

The problem for Zuckerberg is he is on the side that he helped defeat and that’s probably the real reason for the uh-oh look on his face. So what is Zuckerberg doing about it?

Well, many meetings have been called at all levels of society from government to democrat losers accusing Facebook of selling out to the Russians so they could post fake news that influenced Americans to vote against Hillary because Russia wanted Trump to win.

To be honest that is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard in my life and it makes me roll my eyes just typing the words, but that's what we're being bombarded with now, day in and day out on all news and social media sites. "Russia helped Trump steal the election from Hillary." And apparently that means there will be hell to pay. The hell to be paid I discovered is hearing about it for breakfast, lunch and dinner probably for the rest of our lives from the looks of things.

Hillary Clinton losing the 2016 presidential election has generated the most amazing insanity ever witnessed before in politics. Hatred, and anger, accusations, and the most foul mouthed rants ever witnessed have been going on ever since that election nearly two years ago. Trump's election revealed some fascinating things about our government and exposed some very bitter people.

So Mark Zuckerburg clearly in shock that his beloved Facebook played a part in Hillary Clinton's downfall is apparently doing as he’s told and trying to track down those sneaky Ruskies who somehow took over his website and had undue influence over gullible voters who fell for lies against Hillary. /sarc

Fake News took on a whole new meaning. It's no longer about the media lying to the public, it's about the media controlling what they view as dangerous “free speech” or otherwise defined among liberal elite crowds as “hate speech”. I guess it’s “hate speech” because Americans “hate” to be controlled and manipulated and aren’t putting up with it and aren’t cowed by the liberal elites goon squad called Antifa they send out on a regular basis to bash in the heads of conservative speakers who dare to show up to universities expecting to speak.

Not just Facebook but all mainstream media and really that includes the ones who call themselves “fair and balanced” are working an agenda against their viewers and readers by trying to manipulate and control the discussion.

For example:

Sensationalism: One can’t help but notice that any dumb thing Chelsea Clinton (or insert name here) says is the days news on all social media.

Twitter: (Tweets from Fox News, Breitbart, Washington Times, Gateway Pundit, Townhall, AP, NBC, CBS, etc, etc, you name it - all of them Left and Right leaning)

Facebook: (Posts from Fox News, Breitbart, Washington Times, Gateway Pundit, Townhall, AP, NBC, CBS, etc, etc, you name it - all of them Left and Right leaning)

“Chelsea Clinton (or insert name here) said (blah blah) tell us what you think of this”.

They freaking know what we think of it but they’re stirring up sensational headlines for “hits” and “comments” and “likes” and “hearts” and “thumbs down or up”.

The annoying thing is it’s all day on all networks and social media. The next day some other sensational headline whether its true or relevant or not, same scenario. Rinse and repeat. Some dumb jerk nobody cares about said this, that, or the other thing, "tell us what you think of this".

I’ve found myself checking the “headlines” now of media outlets that I’m interested in and then tuning out. I’m interested in the actual news of the day, but I’m not interested in the pundits running their views into the ground, repeatedly over and over all day and night.

Fake News: Repeat same news outlets, same online sites:

-Trump Colluded with Russia to steal election from Hillary.

-Trump is going to get us into a world war.

-Trump is going to blow up the world.

-Trump is going to crash the stock market.

-Trump is running up the national debt.

-Trump paid a whore.

-Trump is a man whore.

-Trump says bad words.

-Trump’s wife Melania is a call girl.

-Trump hates Mexicans

-Trump hates blacks

-Trump hates Asians

-Trump is a racist.

-Trump is a bigot, xenophobe, islamophobe, everything horrible ophobe.

-Trump is going to be impeached.

I could go on for pages on the subject - but I won't.

I predict the next trend is people like me ignoring news broadcasts all together. I'm doing it now and I know others are. I see comments from people expressing how much they're exasperated with it. Some people stay on the social media sites, but a surprising number have dropped off. I personally know many people who got off Facebook now and they never were on Twitter. They don't like the hostile atmosphere and aren't going to tolerate it.
