SOUL SEARCHING IN AMERICA: CRISIS IN OUR GOVERNMENT AND MEDIA

Anyone following "Spygate" (the Barack Obama administration spy scandal) has volumes of articles to read and sift through on the subject - but don't expect to see much coverage on the "nightly news". That's because what Americans once thought of as "nightly news" doesn't exist anymore. Those were more innocent times in America when for 30 minutes every evening families would gather around their televisions to see what happened in our country or maybe even in the world that day. News was a more controlled and limited environment before the internet.

The internet changed everything of course. Every person in America (and the world) in even the poorest of households has internet on their phones now. News is now a 24 hour business and many television and cable networks are dedicated to ongoing 24 hour a day coverage of what was once a 30 minute a day broadcast on television.

Along with those old fashioned long gone days of "nightly news" was also "journalistic standards" that were taught, practiced and most highly revered as qualities to be expected by news broadcasters, print media and everyone involved in the business.

That also changed with the internet. In this year of 2018 we're in a transitional period of having one foot in those old days where journalistic standards were respected and expected, to today where they still are theoretically as far as respecting journalism - but not so much in actual practice.

This is quite a conundrum because America's newsrooms, journalists, reporters and everyone associated with "news", "journalism" and "media" are going through a soul searching time now because on November 8, 2016 their worlds were rocked in an unexpected event that they haven't recovered from nor have they fully understood the repercussions as far as their own reputations and futures.

What happened on November 8, 2016 that changed everything so much? Hillary Clinton lost the presidential election with a 98% chance of winning according to every poll.

Why would that event create a crisis in our government and in our newsrooms, among journalists and other media causing such soul searching? We elect presidents in this country every four years. What about that election should rock the nation in such a way?

On November 8, 2016 Donald J Trump won the presidency in spectacular fashion completely knocking the wind out of his opponent Hillary Clinton and the entire United States government, as well as all media outlets. President Trump won 30 out of 50 states with a total of 306 electors, or 57% of the 538 available. It was truly astonishing results that was not expected. Not a single polling company got anywhere near correct in their predictions. One could say the entire event knocked the socks off America - maybe even the world.

So why all the soul searching? What was so earth shattering about this presidential election?

First - our government. The terrible fact is the highest government offices of the previous

presidential administration of Barack Obama committed shocking crimes. Citizens were spied on and other fraudulent crimes bordering on espionage and treason were committed and all to stop Donald Trump from being elected, and after he was elected to try and get him out of office. Extremely serious crimes. The worst in American history.

So far several high ranking officials from our FBI, DOJ and IRS have been fired or demoted and criminal charges have been filed for some as well as security clearances revoked - and it's not over yet. In fact, it's far from over, it's just at the beginning.

Second - our media. It was interesting that on election night November 8, 2018 all the network television news broadcasters were quite astonished by the election results and made disparaging comments about America's choice for president and made it clear they were Hillary Clinton supporters. Their election night commentaries are popular viewing now on youtube - especially for people who voted for Donald Trump and like to re-live the excitement of that night. It is of course, not exciting viewing for the political pundits,

broadcasters, pollsters and Hillary supporters now forever recorded being very wrong in their predictions and shamefully crying, swearing and carrying on. It appears that many television personalities were in varying types of relationships with the losing Clinton political campaign that went deeper than just mere reporting. You could say political biases were exposed that night.

The scope of wrong doing is vast and still being uncovered. The media who was obviously distraught at Donald Trump's election can't bring themselves to report on their beloved Barack Obama's wrong doing. They can't bear the thought that Hillary Clinton's campaign did anything wrong or illegal so they don't report on any of it.

Almost two years into President Donald Trump's presidency various investigations are underway. It's been complicated. The government officials involved in the Spygate scandal have been named "Deep State". They were unable to prevent Trump from being elected so they accused Trump of colluding with Russia to win the election. They were convinced they could uncover wrong doing somewhere that would be an impeachable offense that could be used to get Trump out of office, and so they had a special prosecutor assigned to investigate. Trump's choice for Attorney General, Jeff Sessions had to recuse himself from anything to do with the "Russian Investigation" because as senator he had once shaken the hand of a Russian ambassador. . Yes - it's that ridiculous. Sessions was cleared of all wrong doing but he did not unrecuse himself and for all practical purposes it would appear he's been in a coma ever since.

There is much irony in the Russian investigation story because there actually was collusion with Russia trying to affect our presidential election but it was with Hillary, the DNC and our entire government apparatus and had nothing whatsoever to do with Trump or his administration.

Hillary funneled money through lawyers to a "opposition research" firm called Fusion GPS to pay a British ex-spy for Russian smut commonly referred to as "The Dossier" which was funneled to the FBI through a Fusion GPS's employees husband at DOJ and in which was subsequently used by FBI to secure spy warrants to use on Trump campaign employees.

Much else can and will be written on the subject of Spygate because it's barely started and much is yet to be uncovered.

Soon much will be written on the dangerous sickness that was uncovered in our government and media that caused people at the highest levels of our government and in our once esteemed media to risk all to cover up for and promote one Hillary Rodham Clinton.

You can believe our enemies are studying this very closely. They'll be very interested to know how it came to be that Hillary Clinton was able to infiltrate our government to the extent that lifetime career FBI agents in leadership positions were willing to risk their reputations and careers to cover up her crimes.

An entire cabal of officials in FBI and DOJ worked to prevent Hillary from facing prosecution over mishandling of classified and top secret government information when she was Secretary of State for Barack Obama. They did anything they could to help her win her political party's nomination that enabled her to run for president - and they did everything in their power trying to help her win, and failing that they worked in their government positions against her opponent even after he was elected trying to get him impeached.

These people gave it all - not for country or flag - but for corruption and greed. They gave it all to the point of being fired, very likely charged with criminal offenses, very possibly prosecuted and prison; loss of security clearance, reputation, career and income. Loss of everything - for Hillary Clinton. They knew she was inept, incompetent and unqualified for the office of president but they covered for her anyway. They wanted her to be president.

Many Americans considered Hillary Clinton to be dishonest and a complete failure in her role as Secretary of State and had no intention of electing her as president.

America is in a crisis of emotions right now. Hillary supporters are strangely unable to cope with her loss. Trump supporters are exhilarated by Trump's win. Both sides feel extreme about their positions - Trump supporters believed America was at a dangerous crossroads of losing our country as we knew it to the stealth globalism democrats intended for us. Democrats believe America should open its borders and become global rather than "American". Both sides don't understand each other.

Because the media was in the tank for Hillary Clinton they now struggle to accept the incredible level of criminal behavior being uncovered about the Obama administration and Hillary's role in controlling and manipulating the events of 2016 up to today. They are at a crossroads of identity because their appear to hate Trump and don't want to report any of the good things that have happened since he became president. Americans resent the media for their dishonesty and now taunt them online in social forums. The more they hate Trump the higher his popularity numbers go.

It's an oddly exciting time for our country. We are winning on a grand scale with Trump as president, breaking all numbers of economic achievements and by every measure the future looks great.

Even so, as a country we are left with disturbing questions yet to be answered in our soul searching of the stain of the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton. Much must be done to insure that our government is never again weaponized against its citizens. Had Hillary been elected all that we now know would have been covered up. All those who sold their souls for big rewards in the Hillary coverup would have received the big payouts and promotions they were hoping for.

Much needs to be done now to ensure that what our own Obama/Hillary crime cabal did to our country is never achieved by our enemies who wish they could reach the heights of treachery that Obama and Hillary achieved.

And if they ever do, we are no longer America.
