The Left Do Not Understand Jesus or Christians

I recently read where Fox News contributor Juan Willams said in effect “Christians were selling their souls supporting President Donald Trump”.

I’ve seen mainstream media try the “shame and attack Christians” strategy over our support of President Donald Trump because he said the word “pussy” on tape or because he is twice divorced.

I’ve even seen Nancy Pelosi, current leader of the Democrats, invoking God trying to question Christians support of the president by saying such things as “what would Jesus do”.

And lets not forget those internet trolls who pick up the latest leftist themes and run with them like the dutiful little ankle biters they are to attack any and every Christian they can.

Fortunately all leftists attempts to shame Christians have failed. They keep throwing lame comments out but all it does is reflect badly on them. Typical leftists blame conservatives for hate while they're the ones busy doing all the hating.

Lets examine why Christians came to support Donald Trump over all the other good candidates that ran for president in 2016.

My personal reason for supporting Donald Trump from Day 1 was sheer absolute dread and deep concern for the direction our country was heading and obviously I wasn’t the only one. One only needed to look at the massive crowds gathering for every Trump campaign speech to know we all felt the same way. I knew no other candidate could beat Hillary except Donald Trump - but he could and would beat her. Hillary's lousy job as Secretary of State exposed her as inept, corrupt and unqualified to be president and that's why she lost.

I felt like the left had used stealth tactics to sneak in their desire that America be “globalists” with “open borders” ruled by the United Nations. What the heck does that mean exactly, and why haven’t we voted on that? and where in Obama’s speeches running for office did he mention any of that? That’s what I mean by “stealth”.

Further concerning me was Obama’s “executive orders” when he couldn’t get Congress to pass what he wanted and the liberal media completely ignoring that as though their messiah had spoken so that was good enough for them. The left’s blind adoration of Obama and overlooking shocking things he did was alarming and still is today. Trump’s election really exposed them to such a degree Americans are sincerely shocked by what we’ve learned.

When Obama was sneaking pallets of cash to Iran to fund terrorists…..which is exactly what they did with the money……..the media said nothing and in fact tried to cover for Obama.

Obama weakened our national security by erasing references to any Islamic radicals at the NSA and the media supported that. (I remember thinking “what the hell!?!”) Obama’s refusal to name the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorists even after receiving a petition with hundreds of thousands of Americans signatures was really starting to scare me. I thought ‘these obvious radical terrorists are all over our White House and National Security Services and what on earth is going on'?

I even had a family member supporter of Obama say to me that “white nationalists with guns is the biggest threat to America”……and I thought…….”well we certainly could be if you try to take away our guns, but other than that we’re just trying to live in peace!” We aren’t using box cutters to take down passenger airliners for our faith thats for sure. What a ridiculous comparison.

So for me, candidate Trump stepped up to say he would seal our borders, and he would build a wall to protect us, and he would rebuild our infrastructure instead of sending our dollars overseas, and he said a lot of things that I loved to hear and I was thankful to hear and I thought “finally a candidate that is listening to us!!”

The reason the mainstream media, leftists, Hollywood, Joy Behar, Rosie O’Donnell, Michael Moore, Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, Juan Williams, and all other famous Trump haters don’t get Christians support of Trump is because they don’t understand Jesus.

Believers in Jesus - AKA Christians - aren’t perfect, we’re just forgiven and we believe we have everlasting life after physical life on earth because we accepted that God sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins. When we accepted Jesus we became reconciled to God our Father and creator. Our hearts became changed and we pray for others and we pray for our country. Christians know that none of us are worthy of the gift of salvation that we received and know it is a gift given on faith. Christians know that none of us are sinless and can throw the first stone of condemnation to anyone. For that reason we don’t see Trumps divorces or bad language as a barrier because we’ve also been divorced and we’ve also used bad language and we’re thankful to be forgiven for it.

What Christians saw in candidate Trump is a wealthy and powerful man who can’t be bought and who stood up for his fellow Americans and said he’d guard the gates of our faith and our country and we answered in large numbers to say ‘thank you” and that is why we voted for Donald Trump.
