Welcome to American Viewpoint!

I decided to start American Viewpoint to allow real Americans the opportunity to share their viewpoints on issues, topics, events that they find important.

It is a chance to break free from "elitist journalists" of all sorts, "fake news", and the partisanship that plagues a number of sites like these. As Americans, we should be able to hold intelligent discussions, present an intelligent viewpoint on a topic, and do so in a civilized way. As the founder, I will respectfully ask you to remember this regardless if you are a contributor or if you comment on the posts.

I ask for a return to civility, a return of proper discourse, and a return to an intelligent discussion.

My goal for this site is to for it to grow of course. But I also hope that it gives contributors the opportunity to share their viewpoints and interests on a variety of topics. Contrary to popular belief on numerous social sites like these, the world does not revolve around what happens in Washington, DC.

There should be more to life than politics, and I hope our contributors will share their uniquely American Viewpoint.
