The 1st Amendment Fight!

It seems that there was a #TwitterLockOut last night that took on the air of censorship as a number of conservatives, that I follow directly or retweeted by people I follow, lost a number of followers because they "showed" the automated behavior of a #Russianbot.

The trusting soul out there would want to believe that this would be an isolated incident. The problem is that the hashtag - #TwitterLockOut - is already trending.

Then you add Facebook and their throttling of regular "page posts" such as American Viewpoint's page has actually been going on since 2014. (This date is based off of a basic Google search.)
But are we really dealing true censorship? It would seem so. #FakeNews and #MediaBias ring a bell.
However, this is not a new thing. During the 2008 election, we had JournoList. A group of left-leaning "journalists" shaping the news instead of reporting it.
So, trust in what is being reported via the news media is at an all-time low. Does anyone at this point still wonder why?
I do not consider it a reach at all to say that the 1st Amendment is under attack. The ability to speak freely was one of the reasons this country was founded.
It is the reason that in the Bill of Rights that it is listed first. It is the most important to ensuring that our constitutional republic can survive the test of time for one simple reason.
"I'm a citizen, this is my President. And in this country, it is not only permissible to question our leaders; it's our responsibility!" - Lewis Rothschild, The American President
However, Americans are having their voices silenced. If you have a conservative viewpoint or simply disagree with anything progressive or liberal, it seems you do not have the "right" to share your viewpoint on anything. Your opinion does not matter and you will lo
If you think you can simply sit by and do nothing, then you have already lost. You have given up your right to speak freely not by force or intimidation - but by antipathy.
It is time for us to take on the responsibility of ensuring our rights as Americans. Even if it means we have to fight for it!
We have the right to speak freely and we need to exercise that right as often as possible in this era of social media where EVERYONE has a platform from which to be heard.

I think the "automated" behavior Twitter and Facebook are talking about is posting the same comment on more than one post. Their "algorithm" for determining bot behavior is incorrect because a particular topic of the day (or hashtag on Twitter) is more than likely being discussed by hundreds or perhaps thousands of people that you are following, and you may wish to give the same reply to different conversations. Why can't you do that without being considered a "spammer" or a "bot"?
Facebook marks my comments as "spam" if I post the same comment on more than one post, and for the same behavior Twitter dumps people and calls them "bots".
