The Obama Legacy

One of the things that people need to objectively realize is that the uber-partisanship you see with headlines like this can be traced back to its origins with the election of Obama.

When in the course of our history has there been a blatant disregard for simple human decency? Why have we gotten to the point that we now try to kill people instead of simply disagreeing with them? Voting them out of office?

Politics has gone from being a part of our government to the defining characteristic of us as people. This is something that is a recent phenomenon. Prior to Obama, we did not have this as such a "commonplace" response to opposite viewpoints. What makes it worse as it is now seen as a "political ploy" used to stir up anger, hatred, etc. in an attempt to maintain power or to reacquire power cause of an upcoming election cycle.

This is the real Obama legacy.

If you go back to his campaigns, the attacks were personal and targeted. His actions as president only reinforced his statements. He created this toxic environment. Will he try to correct the situation? Of course not. History will look upon Obama and declare that his presidency was a failure.

"If you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. You push back on them. Tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere!" - Maxine Waters

This is the new norm in politics. This is what Obama has turned the Democratic party into these days. Threatening violence (and actually committing it too) is the tactic he has encouraged.

Obama implemented the rule of "the mob." Then he went out and stated that he supported the "mob" over anyone else. (Think Ferguson, Baltimore, Oakland, Portland, and so many more.) If you do not get your way, lash out not only with words - but with violence.

"You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about," - Hillary Clinton

I could go on and on and list hundreds of examples (practically off the top of my head) of Democrats encouraging violence while claiming it is the other side.

Obama created this and it is now self-sustaining. This is what he will be remembered for.
