Can A Liberal Explain How This Works

One of the things that made Bernie Sanders such a "populist" with a large number of Americans is the number of things he said that the government would be able to provide for free to ALL American (and illegal immigrants) for free.

You remember the "promises" - Free Healthcare; Free College, etc. And he is still at it. His new mantra that I saw on Twitter was that the criminal justice system needed to be reformed cause poor people could not get out of jail because it was too expensive.

The movement is continuing. Socialists are pushing the Democrat party further to the left. However, you also have to realize that Progressives within the Democrat party are also socialists. Ignore the label and listen to the words - they are indeed the same.

The new face of the Democrat Party - Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez - is a self-avowed socialist. Since most politicians are career politicians, they will adjust to the "mood" of the electorate. Andrew Cuomo, Democrat governor of New York, now wants to let criminals - I mean "Dreamers" - go to college for free.

The problem is that not a single one of these "socialists" can provide an explanation of how these "programs", "human rights", or whatever they want to call them can actually be paid for - and here's the most important part - sustained. Because as Dwight Eisenhower said -

“Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history."

This is why I will be the first to tell you that liberalism is fundamentally flawed. Because not a single "idea" that these liberals/socialists/progressives propose can actually be sustained. It is NOT possible.

Germany has been reforming healthcare as a means pass costs back to the patient.

The reason I chose Germany is that it is the one country that is closest to the US in terms of population, economics, etc.

You could read the study that AARP did about controlling costs in multiple European countries and see that all of them were focused on passing the costs back to the patient in order to sustain it. The British NHS is sending people to India for treatment - cause it saves money - in private hospitals to be treated by Indian doctors.

Yet, not one liberal/socialist/progressive will ever admit to that fact. They will also not talk about the rampant fraud and abuse of the system. You know what I am talking about - people who are supposed to contribute to the system but don't - because a boob job is a "human right."

So, is there someone who can explain not only how this can be paid for? But also how it can be sustained? For the rational person, the answer is an unequivocal no. For the liberal/socialist/progressive, you are a ____. (Insert derogatory term into the blank.)
